Prison Visitation:

In-mates have daily / weekly visitation rights, whereby visitors are allowed to communicate to prisoners via an intercom system that is separated by reinforced glass. The visitor then initiates the call. The warden has the ability to ‘listen-in / eavesdrop’ on the conversation if it is identified that there is a security risk.

Prison Cellphone detection:

Detecting any/all unauthorized mobile / GSM activity within a specified range is imperative to any correction facility. Each unit has a ‘detection radius’ and the design / installation of these units is carefully planned and implemented.

Prison Intercom System:

Each cell is equipped with a ‘anti-tamper’ unit that enables communication to the main switchboard / wardens office. Additionally, there are external intercoms (within the corridors) that are activated via magnetic strips.

Paging and audio distribution:

Public announcements can be delivered over the intercom system. The warden is able to selectively choose which units will be active for these announcements. There is also PA (public address) units available that are generally installed in the public areas.

Automatic announcements:

These may be programmed into the system, so that at any specified time, announcements may be delivered to all units or a pre-selection of units.

Call-recording:

All calls are recorded and a reporting interface is available that enables the authority to selectively search for and listen to any of these calls. This excludes visitation bays in general.

Prison Camera surveillance:

IP cameras record and monitor all activities in an area. These cameras are automatically and manually controlled. All recording is digital and the search and retrieval engine is user friendly well structured. All gate entry / access control systems are monitored and controlled from the main control room.

TMS – Telephone management system:

An application with powerful reporting tools is available so that all calls are simply managed and retrieved.

Electrified Fencing:

Compounds are surrounded by high voltage fencing that is monitored in the control centre. Any activity that interferes with the fence is identified in segments, so that wardens will have specific locations to check if any tampering is involved.

Gate entry / access control systems:

Magnetic door / gate entry is the preferred choice. All entry is controlled remotely via the CCTC / Camera system which is monitored from the main warden station.
